The Lander Gallery

One of the largest commercial galleries in the South West, it is situated in Truro's Georgian Lemon Street. The gallery is upstairs in the Lemon Street Market, an award winning modern building that is a work of art in itself. The display space is light and spacious, with a soaring glass roof giving an outdoor feel to an indoor space. The wide selection of artists ranges from the fine eighteenth century portraiture of John Opie, The Cornish Wonder, through well known nineteenth and twentieth century artists including Lamorna Birch and Ralph Todd of the Newlyn School, to a wide variety of artists working in Cornwall today. There are regular thematic exhibitions of the best in contemporary Cornish art. Browsers are welcome - why not stop for a coffee or lunch in The Gallery Cafe. Wheelchair access via lift. Toilets.
