The Exchange
Housed in the old telephone exchange and beautifully converted by award-winning architects MUMA, the gallery opened on 7th July 2007, alongside the newly refurbished Newlyn Art Gallery, showcasing the very best in local, regional, national and international contemporary art. Morvah School House
Morvah gallery exhibits locally and nationally renowned artists in the upper gallery. Rainyday Gallery
After being based at Cross Street and later in Market Jew Street, art and music promoter Martin Val Baker in 2007 moved his Gallery to the present premises on the terrace opposite W H Smiths in Penzance’s main street. Tate St Ives
Home of the post-war British Modernism, St Ives provides the artistic foundations for Tate St Ives. Opened in 1993 and built to celebrate the surroundings and atmosphere that inspired many artists, the unique architecture recalls the 'White Relief' works of the artist Ben Nicholson and the unexpected twists and turns of the town of St Ives itself. The Gallery offers a varied programme of exhibitions by internationally-known modern and contemporary artists, emerging artists and Tate Collection works from the St Ives Modernists and artists such as Picasso, Turner or Mondrian.
