A large and spacious gallery situated at the top of historic Chapel Street in Penzance. With three floors of exhibition space, shows change monthly and there is always mixed work on display by gallery artists such as Neil Pinkett, Simon Stooks, Maggie Matthews, Nancy Pickard and Paul Lewin.

The Cowhouse Gallery

Situated in the picturesque coastal village of Perranuthnoe between Marazion and Helston, The Cowhouse Gallery is run entirely by a group of local artists and craftspeople. This independence allows them to offer a wide range of original work at very affordable prices.
Paintings, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, photography, jewellery, textiles, wood turning and leatherwork all displayed in a very attractive bright art space by the sea.

The Exchange

Housed in the old telephone exchange and beautifully converted by award-winning architects MUMA, the gallery opened on 7th July 2007, alongside the newly refurbished Newlyn Art Gallery, showcasing the very best in local, regional, national and international contemporary art. Both galleries are free to visit and have an extensive education programme and shops stocking books, jewellery and ceramics by local artists. The Exchange also has a thriving cafe, open for snacks and light lunches.

Gallery Latitude 50

Art Gallery and Café
Latitude 50 is located in the heart of the Cornish countryside in a stunning panoramic setting. We offer work from some of the finest contemporary artists and craftspeople, including beautiful jewellery, paintings, sculpture, ceramics and textiles. The gallery is the creation of local crafts person and knitwear designer Corinne Carr. First-hand knowledge of and involvement in the art scene for over 30 years has made possible the selection of a wonderful line up of artworks by both established and “up and coming” artists. We strive to present new artists both local and international on a regular basis.
Latitude 50 also houses a welcoming café in which visitors can enjoy delicious homemade cakes and cream teas, whilst surrounded by our collection of art and exquisite scenic views.
Extensive parking and the tranquillity of the open countryside offer the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of nearby St Ives.

Journeyman Furniture

Nicholas Langan designs and handcrafts contemporary furniture of the highest quality. Combined with the workshop and studio is the gallery. The gallery not only shows furniture made by Nicholas but exhibits the work of local artists and craftspeople that compliment his work.
Due to the nature of the business the gallery does not keep regular opening times, so to avoid disappointment it is best to contact the gallery and make an appointment to view the fabulous work on display.

The Jane Adams Gallery

The gallery promotes contemporary art and craft including ceramics, original paintings and prints, textiles, glass, wood, recycled sculpture and is a permanent showcase for Jane Adams Ceramics with a working pottery in the garden.

The Little Picture Gallery

The Little Picture Gallery is bright and friendly and situated in the heart of Mousehole. Works exhibited are a wide mix of representational, traditional and naive. Original paintings, original prints, small sculpture and many reproductions and cards.

Millennium Gallery

The Millennium Gallery is a large independent contemporary gallery occupying three floors of exhibition space in the heart of St Ives. Our aim is to provide a supportive platform for artists and present museum quality shows. The range of work on show is diverse in media and rendering, emphasis is placed on authenticity and the human search for 'why we are here' the journey taken from dark to light.

Morvah School House

Morvah gallery exhibits locally and nationally renowned artists in the upper gallery. Downstairs the coffee shop sells delicious home-made cakes, cream teas, coffee and hot snacks as well as locally hand crafted items such as stained glass, pottery, jewellery, small paintings, prints and cards. We have full disabled access to all areas of the building. The Morvah Schoolhouse also serves as the parish community centre offering a diverse range of events and activities for local people and visitors alike.

New Street Gallery

New Street Gallery is a much loved artist-led gallery showcasing the work of 13 artists including painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, glass, jewellery, photography and much more. Because the artists run the gallery themselves they offer their work at studio prices. In addition, "The third room" is a new space in the gallery with constantly changing exhibitions from guest artists. It is available to hire - see the website for more details or call in.

Newlyn Art Gallery

Newlyn Art Gallery has a 112 year history of developing regionally significant contemporary art projects. Over the past 20 years the level of ambition within the organisation has increased very significantly, to the point where the gallery consistently delivers nationally significant programmes of exhibitions and education projects.
The gallery was previously limited by its building, necessitating a redevelopment in order to realise its plans to showcase the very best of national and international contemporary art. The newly refurbished gallery reopened on 7th July 2007, alongside major new art space The Exchange, in the heart of Penzance.

Rainyday Gallery

After being based at Cross Street and later in Market Jew Street, art and music promoter Martin Val Baker in 2007 moved his Gallery to the present premises on the terrace opposite W H Smiths in Penzance’s main street. He has now staged 200 exhibitions since 1992. Shows for 2009 include: September; Matthew Lanyon, October; Phil Whiting, November; Alice Mumford and Janet Treloar, December; The Little Picture Show. There is always a show of smaller pictures by many well known local artists such as Bob Bourne, Anthony Frost, Chris Hankey, Matthew Lanyon, Martin Lanyon, Dot Searle, Lewis Mitchell, Nick Williams, Zoe Cameron and others, ceramics by Jill Bevan. Books and a wide selection of cards by local, national and international artists.

The gallery deals in ceramics, painting and prints featuring established and new artists,with changing solo and group exhibitions.
The gallery contains six large rooms over three floors.Showing We have a permanent gallery of work from Breon O'Casey and another room dedicated to Sir Terry Frost showing prints from his estate.
Stoneman Gallery is run by Linda Stoneman and also sells images printed in the studios of her late husband, the master printer, Hugh Stoneman.

We are the only gallery outside of London showing prints by William Crozier.

Home of the post-war British Modernism, St Ives provides the artistic foundations for Tate St Ives. Opened in 1993 and built to celebrate the surroundings and atmosphere that inspired many artists, the unique architecture recalls the 'White Relief' works of the artist Ben Nicholson and the unexpected twists and turns of the town of St Ives itself. The Gallery offers a varied programme of exhibitions by internationally-known modern and contemporary artists, emerging artists and Tate Collection works from the St Ives Modernists and artists such as Picasso, Turner or Mondrian. All are shown in the unique cultural context of St Ives. Three seasons of exhibitions each year and a full Family Programme let you see and do something different every time you visit.
