Artichoke Mosaics

Mosaic tiles by Artichoke Mosaics

My handmade craft, artichoke mosaics, is run from my home-based studio in the heart of inspirational Cornwall.
I started making mosaics a few years ago after forming a collection of broken china which was continually being dug up on my allotment. I couldn’t bear to waste the beautiful shards which held their secret histories within them so I began by decorating some old terracotta pots.
I expanded the bases to include mirrors, photo frames, trivets, plaques and platters.
The range includes practical and decorative pieces using recycled and found objects – china, sea glass, shells, buttons and beads as well as glass tesserae – to create unique works of art, beautiful and long-lasting.
To view my work please visit the gallery on my website. Requests for commissions and bespoke pieces are always welcome.

Chloe Williams

Jewellery created from seaglass

Based near St Ives, I create individual pieces of jewellery from Seaglass washed up on the Cornish shoreline, worn down to smooth organic shapes.
The Seaglass is combined with an array of semi-precious stones, glass, vintage and recycled beads. Because of the nature of the Seaglass no two pieces washed up are the same, making each piece of jewellery unique.
The qualities of the Seaglass jewellery are reflected in the gemstone and metals range, often mirroring the organic shapes and contrasting textures.

Deezine

Fused glass jewellery, pictures and bowls. Working with Dichroic glass and Bullseye art glass. Unique designs. Commissions undertaken.

Dragonfly arts and crafts

Seaglass jewellery and arts and crafts
I like to use sustainable and recyclable materials when constructing my unique handmade arts and crafts.
I am especially interested in using sea glass, as its such pretty rubbish and as I live right next to the beach its in plentiful supply.
I also like to use recycled suede and reclaimed copper wire as well as sea glass, which result in some interesting 'one off' jewellery creations.

I have my own studio where I produce handmade lampwork beads. These are created with glass rods, melted over a flame and shaped to my designs. They are all fully annealed in a kiln for strength and durability before being made up into jewellery of my design. I also have a range of recycled beads, made from recycled glass bottles, Bombay Sapphire Gin, Harveys Bristol Cream, Perrier Water, and for that special piece your own celebration champagne bottle (wedding, engagement, christening), which can then be made up into a lasting memory to wear. The beads are also available temporarily strung for you to make up into your own designs.

I live in Mevagissey where I hand makes unique pictures, using sea glass and sea shells collected from beaches around Mevagissey and the Cornish Coast.
I relocated to Cornwall in 2003 and enjoy relaxing by walking my dog on the beach while searching for glass and shells along Cornwall’s beautiful and atmospheric coastline. I also make a wide range of pretty cards for all occasions.
To make the canvases, reclaimed fabric is used, onto which a felting technique attaches fibres to produce the background. Small, previously-loved beads add a bit of sparkle to the glass and shells. No two pictures are the same; and the different sizes they come in work well either separately, or together as a group.
I am hoping to have a website soon and in the meantime am trying out a few more local craft fairs.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or commission enquiries.

I create stained glass pieces working in both Tiffany style, and Traditional leaded techniques. I use recycled glass combined with new glass, making unique lamps, mirrors, clocks and light-catchers etc. using a vivid array of colours that really make a statement.
Commissions can be undertaken for any of the above in your choice of the colour spectrum, also for window and door panels in either a modern or traditional design.

Pirate Cove Booty

Cornish sea glass jewellery
All of my sea glass jewellery is made with sea glass that was found on a Cornish beach and worn smooth in the sea. These creations cannot be mass-produced. No item can ever be repeated exactly, making these jewels unique and individual images for our time. Nature has recycled and transformed a man-made material. Each piece has a unique shape that refracts light in a subtly different way bringing to the jewellery a noticeable inner luminosity. The shapes are designed by a superhuman creative force: nature!

Sue Smith Garden Mosaics

Garden Mosaic by Sue Smith

I create garden mosaics, using recycled stained glass and mirrors. The stained glass is worked directly onto the mirrors to give better reflection and depth of colour, making the glass change shade in different lights and at different angles. They can be used as wall panels, a feature among climbing plants, or be placed in a gloomy corner – adding light, interest and creating a hint of “The Secret Garden” behind.

The Glass House

Design by the Glass House St Just

The Glass House is a collaboration between Simon Hammerton and Carolyn Boyd. We use traditional craft techniques to create unique designs in glass.
Based in St Just in Penwith, Cornwall, we take inspiration from this wildly beautiful corner of the country, combining aspects from nature and landscape alongside traditional design.
Our original pieces include lamps, window and door panels, tiles and a range of freestanding and hanging lightcatchers for the home and garden. Working in lead construction, copperfoil, kiln-fired glass and combinations of all three. The Glass House use traditional techniques to produce contemporary, original and creative designs in glass.
