Trereife Park Summer Fair

Friday, 1st August 2014 until Sunday, 3rd August 2014

Cornish wrestling and food and craft at country house.
Inspiring tours of Trereife House, a delectable selection of locally produced food and drink, exquisite art and crafts to browse and buy, craft workshops, children’s entertainment, live music performances…these are just a handful of the attractions to be found at Trereife’s Fine Food, Art and Craft Fair from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd August. Now in it’s seventh year at Trereife, this formula for a unique and interactive country day out has become a firm fixture in West Cornwall’s summer calendar.
The idyllic grounds of Trereife make a unique setting for the event.  Visitors will be welcomed into the stunning Queen Anne manor house, which has been the Le Grice family home since the late 18th century. You may experience a tour of the house conducted personally by Tim Le Grice, who will give an insight into its inspiring history.
The highlight of this year’s event is sure to be the Cornish Wrestling Championships.  Meet the challengers and learn more about this ancient Cornish sport.
Away from the attraction of the energetic sport visitors can browse and buy work from a wide range of local crafts on sale. As well handmade crafts there will be a selection of fine food stalls and an array of attractions across the park, including entertainment for the children, such as a bouncy castle, enthralling storytelling and an amazing magic show.
Visitors will also be free to roam the beautiful surrounds. With the neat parterres and terraces of a classic Cornish garden, horses grazing the surrounding parkland and the rich blue of Mounts Bay to be glimpsed just beyond the trees, it is a picturesque country setting which has been used for all kinds of events including opera, jazz, theatre and as a film location and most recently the subject of Channel Four’s ‘Country House Rescue’ series.
Spend the day wandering the woods, relaxing on the lawn, or picnicking in the walled garden, with home-made refreshments available including cakes, crepes, soups, tortilla wraps and local meat pasties, plus locally made ice-cream, fruit juice squeezed as you watch, and even a Cornish beer stall to tempt your taste buds. Remember to bring your picnic blanket, or if you prefer, take a seat in Trereife’s Couryard Cafe.  And should the weather prove temperamental, rest assured that the event will be undercover.
You will discover this enticing range of local treasures hidden amongst the woodland, just off the A30 to Lands End. The fair will be open 10am–4pm and there is ample free parking on site. Entrance is £3.50 for adults, £2 for children, and children under 5 are permitted free. Family tickets are £11 for two adults and up to three children.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead, and there are local walks in the direct vicinity.

Outlaw Christmas Market - Falmouth Town Centre

Thursday, 11th December 2014 until Saturday, 13th December 2014

We are very excited to announce the Outlaw Christmas Market which is being held from Thursday 11 December to Saturday 13th December on The Moor Piazza, Falmouth town centre.  We are working alongside Falmouth Town Council to create an exciting and festive market of the best artisan craft, food and drink stalls. It’ll be an awesome Christmas experience capturing the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of Christmas.
Our Christmas Market will be right in the centre of Falmouth’s busy shopping area two weeks before Christmas so we expect to have a high footfall. Our opening times will also include late night shopping on Thursday 11th and the Santa Fun Run on Saturday 13th which will begin and end on the Moor.
We will be in a beautifully decorated, well lit and heated marquee with lots of festive activities taking place in and around the marquee. We will have live music, fabby food and Christmassy things to make and do. We will also have overnight security in the marquee on Thursday and Friday nights.
With over 30 high quality, artisan exhibitors this is the perfect marketplace for you and your products, whilst also being a fabulous Christmas shopping experience for our visitors.
