Many and Beautiful Things

Saturday, 29th September 2018 until Saturday, 5th January 2019

An exhibition concerned with that time in youth when anything is possible, everything is ahead of you, and life is a rush for new experiences. Featuring Rineke Dijkstra’s portraits of a young soldier going through training in the French Foreign Legion, Binelde Hyrcan’s film of young boys in Angola as they dream of the high life, Melanie Manchot filmed her daughter for one minute every month from the age of 11 - 18 years old, Santiago Mostyn documented in text and photographs his band of friends as they travelled across America and Joseph Szabo in 1970s was a high school teacher who used the camera to connect with his students.
Plus #fragment24a, a billboard, poster, and social media commission to give voice to young people in Cornwall today.
