Jon Tremaine - British Wildlife Artist

Permanent Exhibitions

Jon Tremaine, British Wildlife Artist has a permanent display at the Imagianation Gallery St Ives and Karensa Art in Padstow along with several other galleries in Cornwall. The galleries listed here hold a sizeable exhibition of Jon's unique contemporary wildlife pen and ink art. Available are limited edition prints, affordable open edition prints and cards. The Imagianation Gallery on Fore Street St Ives host many well know artist such as: John Horsewell, Yvonne Coomber and Izumi Omori. A family run Gallery offering a broad spectrum of art and crafts. A unique gallery with a selective range of Cornwalls finest art. Jon can be seen demonstrating his wildlife art at this gallery and others during the summer months. Please visit his website and the exhibitions page will tell you more. The Karensa Art Gallery Padstow is owned and run by Cornish-born women Mary Hamilton and Jill Bunt. Padstow nestles in a narrow gulley on the western side of the River Camel estuary, the town is sheltered from the prevailing winds and the air is generally soft and balmy. A very popular and unspoilt holiday destination with Galleries and great places to eat such as Rick steins sea food restaurant.

Noel Betowski, artist Mixed, Permanent Exhibition www.betowski.com.
Noel Betowski was born in Tilbury, Essex, in 1952. He studied at the Central School of Art, gaining a B.A. in Fine Art Painting 1976 and an A.T.C. (Art Teachers Certificate) from London University 1977.
Betowski has exhibited widely. Galleries include The Royal Academy, The National Portrait Gallery and he has twice won “The John Constable Landscape Prize” at "The Camden Annual" (3rd in 1982 and 2nd in 1983).
Noel has worked as a full time practising artist for over 20 years, moving to Cornwall in 1987. He continues to exhibit widely & his work is in private collections throughout the world.
Gallery is housed within the Bay Restaurant, a fine restaurant and is open to the public every day from 11am to 5pm and for diners at all other times.

Space is open to individuals or small groups at Jamboree open art ware and textile studio.
A date and time can be made by appointment or open nights are every Wednesday evening from 6pm.
If there are enough people interested, a fashion show or photo shoot could be arranged for you're portfolios or just for fun.

Crafty sew n sews - Every Tuesday morning

Come along to Kidz R Us for a fun and friendly theatre crafts workshop, and help us make props, and costumes whilst learning new skills, chatting and making new friends.
No experience necessary, Sharon and Jane can teach you all sorts of skills from hat-making to basket weaving, or just sit and do some hand sewing and enjoy the company.
Sessions will run every Tuesday morning from 10 until 12 and you can drop in whenever you like, free of charge and have a go. All materials provided.

The Golden Bowl Writing Workshops

Saturday mornings term time

The Golden Bowl Writing Workshops are held on Saturday mornings in the Turks Head, Chapel Street, Penzance, Cornwall. They are held weekly and roughly follow the school term schedule. The Golden Bowl sessions offer writers of all abilities an opportunity to transform their writing practice through a creative process that can give their work an added strength and extra sparkle as well as giving their writer's voice a confidence boost.
The Workshops are facilitated by Judith Sayers, a trained and experienced facilitator and practising writer who has run writing and story telling workshops with many different kinds of groups in Cornwall, London and Sheffield. Her facilitation style is person centred and inventive, allowing participants to relax and and enjoy the writing sessions in their own unique way.
The Golden bowl provides an accumulative experience for writers that they can use to inform their day to day writing practice. Cost £5 per session. Writers bring their own writing materials.

Redruth Amateur Operatic Society (Trust) presents ‘A Chorus Line’ live on stage at the Regal Theatre, Redruth, Cornwall.
In an empty theatre, on a bare stage, casting for a new Broadway musical is almost complete. The field’s been narrowed down to just 17 dancers. For these men and women, this audition is the chance of a lifetime. It’s what they’ve worked for — with every drop of sweat, every hour of training. But before the final cut is made, the director Zach asks each of them to talk about themselves. But Zach wants more than just their resumes. He wants to know about their families, friends, lovers, ambitions and careers. From funny to heartbreaking, these 17 dancers share with us the stories of their lives. They put themselves on the line to get a job on the line. And when they’re done, so is the audition, and the final chorus line of 8 dancers is chosen.

Alice Walker who founded 4 Funx Sake Street Dance Crew. Alice’s choreography and hard work lead them to come 2nd at the worlds street dance championships at Blackpool last august in the under 18s newcomer and 2nd in the Southwest Street Championships on the 29th November 2010
Jenny Stanton who has just finished four years at DMU university cheering alongside the DMU Saints Cheerleaders an extremely talented and successful squad.

Trereife Christmas Gifts Fair

The weekend kicks off in magical style with a series of demonstrations and a programme of entertainment, as well as an art exhibition in the Gallery.
The Craft Fair will take place all under cover in heated marquees and over the course of the weekend, visitors may browse a range of quality art and craft. A selection of local food suppliers will be on hand to tickle your taste buds, making it the perfect opportunity to stock up on an array of fine foods and drinks for the festive season. Poet’s Cafe will also be serving a selection of homemade refreshments.
Should you fancy a diversion from the Christmas gift buying and nibbles, Tim Le Grice will be conducting tours of his historic home, allowing visitors to absorb Trereife’s extensive history while supping on a glass of mulled wine. Trereife House, near Newlyn, Penzance, Cornwall

At the bottom of Coinagehall street, Helston, Cornwall there will be many stalls selling souvenirs, crafts and food, running all the way down to Coronation Park where a large fairground is set up. The celebrations last well into the evening with Helston's many public houses doing a roaring trade.
