Fragment24a will unfold in three areas: an exhibition of work in all media exhibited in The Engine Room at The Exchange; as two billboard prints of still images, one for a wall at Newlyn Art Gallery, and another at The Exchange; plus an Instagram takeover over four weekends during the exhibition.
The exhibition in The Engine Room will be co-selected by Amos Jacob, a young curator and producer of The Thrown Gauntlet festival in Falmouth. The two billboards will feature a single page of a zine, each enlarged to fill a gallery wall, with images by Collaborators and invited young people, some who may not consider themselves to be artists but are documenting their own and their peers’ lives. For the above dates Cornwall Hospice Care shall have fitted out our Tall Ship Kajsamoor as Santa's grotto.

We would like to make the event one for all the family by opening up the inner harbour to the public with market stalls and refreshments.
As we are a Georgian period harbour we would like o encourage vendors to embrace the spirit of this by perhaps donning Georgian or Victorian garb.
We shall also have live entertainment with shanty singers, Christmas carol singers and The Pirates of St.Piran.

Needle Felting Workshop for Beginners

Saturday, 19th January 2019

Come along to a beginners workshop, where you will learn how to sculpt wool using the needle-felting technique. I have just 10 spaces available for each session so to book please email us and I will request a £5 deposit to secure your place.
The workshop costs £15 and during 3 hours of crafting fun we will cover the basics of equipment and you will learn how to create a 3D shape, attach parts, add colour and a bit of personality to your sculpture.
I also ask beginners to pay an additional £1 deposit on the day against needle breakages. This enables me to keep the cost down and restock needles, as you may have a break or two when you are starting out and this seems the fairest way to spread the cost.
I provide all the equipment, materials and tea and coffee. Just bring yourself and some nibbles to share during the half-time break.
I will have a small supply of felting kits and wool available to purchase on the day if you wish to continue your new hobby.

Needle Felting Workshop for Beginners

Saturday, 9th March 2019

Come along to a beginners workshop, where you will learn how to sculpt wool using the needle-felting technique. I have just 10 spaces available for each session so to book please email me and I will request a £5 deposit to secure your place.

We support and promote Cornish-grown and Cornish-produced food both in the trade section and in our own cafes and restaurants.
