The group tends to choose a weekly topic but members are welcome to bring their own projects. The emphasis is on having fun, enjoying each others’ company and learning from our successes and mistakes. We meet every Monday 1.30pm until 3.00pm.

The West Cornwall Decorative and Fine Arts Society is one of over 300 member societies of the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies. We’re a new society founded in 2011 and we currently have about 175 members. Every year we hold a wide ranging and fascinating programme of lectures, visits workshops and social events. Our members, many of whom are artists and craftspeople themselves, are interested in all the decorative and fine arts including painting, music, literature, furniture, mosaics, and architecture.

Lynher Valley Art

This is a new on-line art gallery for artists working in Lynher Valley in east Cornwall – we work in acrylics, textiles, oils and willow; art and craft courses are also listed. The gallery is part of a wider network for local businesses in this peaceful and little-known part of Cornwall.

An informal, open access singing group. No auditions, no reading music, no solos, no experience needed. A variety of beautiful, upbeat, moving and contemporary songs taught by ear.

Serendipity Scrapbookers and Card Makers

We meet on Friday evenings 7.00pm to 10pm for fun laughter friendship and a mess around with paper. Everyone made most welcome, ages from 8 to 108, experts to beginners. We have excellent disabled facilities. Loads of free parking. The cost is just £5 per session to cover all materials, use of equipment and refreshments. Come along and meet us.

Truro Choral Society

The society performs several concerts each year, often in Truro Cathedral. We perform mostly choral classic pieces, but also some modern choral music. There are a few optional social events.No auditions are required: come along and try us for 2-3 rehearsals. We meet every Tuesday evening in term-time, 7-9pm at Richard Lander School, Truro, Cornwall.

Knitting and craft group, at The Melting Pot Krowji (old grammar school Redruth) on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7pm. Cornwall Guild of Weavers Spinners and Dyers

Members of the Guild are on hand to teach the traditional crafts of hand spinning and weaving. Workshops and talks are on offer from local crafts people as well as experts in their field from outside of the County. There is a vibrant sales table where members can sell their work. The Guild meets twice a month. Every 3rd Friday at Probus Village Hall, Probus Truro, Cornwall. Every 4th Saturday at Chacewater Village, Truro, Cornwall TR4 8PZ.

St Austell Society of Artists

St Austell Society of Artists meet every Monday evenings from 7.15pm-9pm. We are a warm and friendly group of all ages and abilities, working in a variety of styles and mediums. We have a varied and interesting calendar ranging from workshops, to visiting artists, who give talks/demonstrations of their work and techniques. New members and visitors are always welcome so please come and join in.

Kidz R Us Theatre group

The Kidz R Us Theatre group in St Ives was set up 15 years ago and began life as a one-off performance to raise money for the Save the Children Fund at the Guildhall in St Ives. Philip Barnett and Margaret Banfield from the local operatic society assembled a small group of brave kids to stage a single concert but it was such a success that the audience begged for more of the same and so Kidz R Us was born.

St Agnes Theatre Players is an amateur drama group, based in St. Agnes with a rehearsal room/store in Goonown. We aim to present three plays per year, one of which is normally an outdoor summer performance. We tackle all sort of productions both major and minor including Shakespeare, John Godber, Nick Darke, Sheridan and all shades around these. New members are always welcome, either on the performance side or on the support backstage area.
